SHORT HISTORICAL SUMMARY
This ancient breed of a domestic dog originates in the southern regions of Germany. Her ancestors were represented by Albrecht Duerer (1471 - 1528) in his engravings on a tree. The first written mentions of affenpinschers belong to 1879. Special popularity these toy doggies, relatives of wire-haired pinschers, won at the beginning of the twentieth century. The aura from rigid wool around the head emphasized monkey expression of a muzzle. The color varied from uniform yellowish, reddish or gray-white to dark gray, black-gray and purely black.
DESCRIPTION of the AFFENPINSCHER. The MAJOR PROPORTIONS
The ratio of length of the case to height in withers, whenever possible, has to be such that the dog looked the most square.
GENERAL VIEW
An affenpinscher – a wire-haired, small and compact doggie, with an apelike muzzle.
BEHAVIOUR/TEMPERAMENT of the AFFENPINSCHER
Fearless, vigilant, persistent and devoted, sometimes very hazardous. Very pleasant domestic doggie in all aspects.
HEAD
CRANIAL PART
Skull: Rather roundish, than rectangular in general, not too heavy, dome-shaped, with considerably the expressed forehead.
Stop: It is well expressed.
FRONT PART
Nose: A nose lobe roundish, filled and black. Nostrils are well open.
Muzzle: Nose back direct (not snub-nosed) and short.
Lips: Skintight to jaws. Black lips.
Jaws/teeth: Set (42 teeth), teeth white. The lower jaw slightly addresses the upper jaw and is slightly bent up. Cutters in healthy gums stand as it is possible more exactly and form slightly roundish row. Canines and cutters as well as language, should not be visible at the closed mouth. The lack of two PM1, PM2 or PM3, or a combination of any two from these teeth — are admissible.
Eyes: Dark, quite roundish and big. Skintight eyelids of black color are framed with rigid wool around.
Ears: Are put highly, keep symmetrically, are directed forward. The V-shaped, inner edges of ears densely adjoin to the head. Standing ears have to be small, equally standing and, whenever possible, to keep as much as possible vertically.
NECK
Direct, strong, quite short, with the powerful basis. The skin on a throat well adjoins, without forming folds.
CASE
Strong, square and compact.
Withers: Is the highest point of the line of top.
Line of top: Slightly inclined, forming from withers to a back part of the building practically a straight line.
Back: Strong, short and strong.
Waist: Short and strong. Distance from the last edges to hips short thanks to what the dog looks compact.
Croup: Short, slightly roundish, imperceptibly passing into the basis of low put tail.
Breast: Only slightly flattened from sides, moderately wide, reaches elbow joints.
Line of a bottom and stomach: The stomach is picked moderately up. Lines of a bottom and top (from withers to the basis of low put tail) are almost parallel.
TAIL
In a natural look: acinaciform or crescent.
FRONT EXTREMITIES
General view: Front legs strong, direct, parallel and not narrowly put.
Humeral bones: Densely adjoins to the case, strong and brawny.
Elbows: The correct situation, are not developed neither inside, nor outside.
Forearms: Strong. At survey from any party – straight lines.
Shovels: Brawny. Long, inclined (about 45 are located at an angle °) and flat.
Pyasti: Vertical — at survey in front, slightly inclined — at survey sideways. Strong and brawny.
Carpal joints: Strong and strong.
Forepaws: Short and roundish. Fingers well collected and curved (cat's paws), small pillows elastic, claws short, black and strong.
BACK EXTREMITIES

Skakatelny joints: With moderate corners.
Hinder legs: A little more long than lobbies. Fingers well collected and curved. Claws short and black.
GAITS/MOVEMENTS of the AFFENPINSCHER
Free, smooth, with a moderate push of back extremities. At survey in front and behind — movements rectilinear and parallel.
SKIN
Skintight on all koprus.
WOOL COVER of the AFFENPINSCHER
Wool on the case has to be rigid and skintight. The head is decorated with an aura from bushy, shchetinisty eyebrows around eyes, an impressive beard, top notes and whiskers. Wool on the head has to be as much as possible rigid, chaotic and sticking out. It promotes formation of characteristic monkey expression.
