the East European Sheep-dogs (EESD) appeared at the beginning of the 20th century in the USSR.
the Soviet dog breeders removed this breed for the office purposes. The German shepherd became a prototype of the East European sheep-dog, however soon between them there was a number of differences which distance one breed from another more and more. Now the East European sheep-dog quite strongly differs from the German.
