BRIEF HISTORICAL INFORMATION: the Dachshund (Dachshund, Dackel, or Teckel) is known since the Middle Ages. Among hounds the dogs especially suitable for hunting underground constantly appeared. From these short-legged individuals there was a dachshund recognized as one of the most universal and with success of the applied breeds of hunting dogs. It also excellently works at the Earth's surface, driving with voice, trying to discover and tracking down wounded birds. The oldest club which is engaged in cultivation of dachshunds is created by "Deutsche Teckelklub" e.V. in 1888. Decades the dachshund got divorced in three sizes (a dachshund, a tiny rate and a rabbit rate) and three versions on wool (sleek-haired, wire-haired and long-haired).
