It is no secret that events in the movie about Hachiko – not an invention of directors, but sad reality. This story began in the twenties last century in Japan. The puppy of an Akita Inu was presented to professor Hidesamuro Ueno, and he named him Hashiko that in translation from Japanese means the eighth (professor up to this point already had 7 dogs). The animal began to be called on European Hachiko's manners after learned the whole world about him.

Once in the May afternoon Hachiko and his owner, as usual, said goodbye on the platform, the train left, and the dog started wandering home. But after war in 1948 at the station where Hachiko's Akita died, the new monument was established. It costs there and now and is the place for a meeting of loving couples as it is considered an embodiment of the real and devoted relations.
History of an Akita Inu originates from ancient Japan . The breed appeared on the island of Honshu in the province the Akita – from here and its name. It is considered that this the Japanese dog – result of a skreshcheniye of a mastiff with a dog of shpitseobrazny breed. She was the excellent assistant in hunting for large wild animals: boars, bears or deer.
The proof that the dog has ancient origin are drawings of antique times. Numerous researches showed that the appearance of a dog remains invariable since the 17th century, the Akita belongs to one of the most thoroughbred types which selection activity did not concern.
In those far times only grandees and members of imperial family were able to afford to have such dog. So was not always – initially animals carried out roles of sentry dogs in houses of ordinary commoners, but in the 18th century situation changed and the status of an Akita was significantly raised. Peasants already could not have these dogs in the houses any more – it was the privilege of elite. At the same time there was an imperial decree forbidding to kill and scoff at dogs of breed of an Akita Inu. Otherwise the torturer or the murderer was exposed to an execution through terrible tortures.
Since then care of a dog turned into the most real ritual. External species of an Akita began to correspond to a rank of the high-ranking owner. Special attributes were thought up and the servants who are carrying out care of the little pet are put. Thus it was possible to call the status of its owner.
In the twenties last century special society to which duties belonged to watch purity of breed was created. Members of the organization in every possible way stopped crossing of an Akita Inu with other types.
During World War II cultivation of breed practically stopped, but true fans nevertheless managed to keep several dogs with pure blood.
Animals have uncommon mind and devotion to the owner. Easily give in to training, perfectly get on with small children and differ in the most rare friendliness. Perfectly get on with other pets, absolutely non-conflicting – for this reason consider them good nurses, beautiful fellow travelers and reliable security guards.
Today the Japanese Akita helps the person with many spheres of his activity:
The dog is absolutely unpretentious, will not provide special efforts to owners. In the presence of the warm and comfortable box can live on the street as possesses dense wool and a dense underfur. If the pet lives in the apartment, then it is necessary to walk him twice a day not less than 2 hours. The dog very playful, but yet in the field of her sight is not present cats or other dogs, behaves very frostily and quietly. The animal should give the chance to splash out the energy, otherwise he will grow lazy, will gain excess weight and will cease to obey.
Wool is enough to be combed out twice a week , in the period of a molt the procedure needs to be repeated more often. Extremely it is regularly not recommended to wash an Akita – it can lead to the fact that the pet will get sick. In a year there will be quite enough several bathings, at the same time it is possible to apply only special shampoos. After the procedure wool needs to be dried up the hair dryer.
Appetite at dogs of this breed excellent. You should not overfeed an animal: at unbalanced food and small mobility the dog can gain weight and ache. Several times a week it is possible to give to a dog low-fat meat, milk and curdled milk, vegetable broth. For daily feeding will be rather qualitative dog forage. At an animal diet surely there has to be clear and fresh water.
Owners need to take for the rule to regularly show the pet to the veterinarian. In a diet of a dog it is necessary to add mineral vitamin supplements to the periods of a molt or incubation of posterity, having consulted previously to the veterinarian.
The minimum weight of an Akita is 40 kg, growth of an adult male varies from 64 to 75 cm in withers. Females have much more smaller indicators of growth and weight.
3 possible colors are Officially registered:
The animal possesses the developed muscles, a heavy skeleton and proportional addition. Externally dogs make an impression of the strong, harmoniously developed, clever animals that absolutely completely is true.
From communication with a dog there are only most pleasant impressions. The Akita Inu is the embodiment of friendliness, sincere joy and boundless devotion. The curiosity and mischief – lines which allocated puppies of an Akita Inu – do not disappear in process of their growing that grants them the right to be called the kindest dogs in the world.
You should not think that the Akita is not capable to stand for herself – minutes of danger she can rush in fight. But she never asks for trouble: she will not begin to get involved in a fight, without having estimated a situation and own forces. So to positive lines of a dog it is possible to add prudence and steadiness still.
Often ask experts a question of how the breed of a dog externally similar to an Akita is called, but it is much less by the sizes. This breed is known as a shiba-inu, because of the small sizes it call Mini-Hachiko. Japanese describe character of a shiba-inu only 3 words: friendliness, fascination and bravery. Both the shiba-inu, and breed an Akita have similar habits and history. But you will not call them direct relatives - it is two independent views having the related roots going to far antiquity.
